First Workshop CEOS LPV FAPAR sub-group  Increase text

The Land Product Validation Biophysical sub-group co-chaired by Nadine Gobron of the EC Joint Research Centre and Arturo Sanchez-Azofeifa of the University of Alberta are pleased to announce the

1st sub-group workshop
that will be held on the 23-24 January 2014 at European Commission - Joint Research Centre at Ispra, Italy.

Abstract:
Abstract submission page closed.
If you wish to participate to the workshop, please send an e-mail.

Purpose:
The Committee on Earth Observation Satellites (CEOS) Land Product Validation (LPV) Subgroup focus area on Biophysical products (LAI and FAPAR) is holding a 1st workshop on the validation of global satellite-derived FAPAR products. This workshop will offer an open community discussion forum on product validation, in-situ measurements and their definitions. The main goal is to reach a community consensus on best practices for inter-comparison of existing satellite products and their validation with in-situ measurements. Four sessions are proposed in order to review existing work and discuss what are the best practices in each sub-topic.

Location:
JRC Ispra, Leonardo room, Building 26a.
